Position

As a consultant Fuel Management you play a key role in the development of our software, which involves method development, coding and testing, driven by customer requests and requirements. Application of our software for specific customer cases is part of the job. Besides, you can have a role in the marketing, sales, user training and helpdesk activities of the team.

Profile

  • You have an academic degree in a relevant technical field (e.g. nuclear engineering, reactor physics, energy engineering, applied physics, mathematics, mechanical engineering);
  • You are fluent in developing code in at least Fortran and C;
  • Experience with nuclear engineering software and Linux operating systems is a plus;
  • Your oral and written communication is good in at least English. Proficiency in Dutch or further foreign languages is a plus;
  • You are result oriented, intrinsically motivated, quality and cost-conscious and a team player.

Team

Within C&S, the Fuel Management Services (FMS) team develops and markets software for the cost efficient and safe use of fuel in nuclear power plants. Currently our main software product ROSA is supporting about thirty nuclear reactors worldwide and we have the ambition to increase our market share. The FMS team consists of a small group of 5 colleagues.

Modern employment conditions package in line with the market

  • Depending on your level of experience your start salary will be between € 3.375 (starter) up to € 5.100 (experience) with room to grow;
  • 27 vacation days and 12 days of flex time (based on a fulltime contract;
  • 8.3% year-end bonus and 8% vacation allowance;
  • Pension with the ABP; NRG pays 70% of the premium;
  • Commuting expenses are reimbursed at € 0.23 per k/m

up to a maximum of 50 km one way. Public transportation is reimbursed 100%;

  • A travel allowance and mobility budget of € 5,000 net (paid once, if you live 1.5 hours travel distance from our work location);
  • A moving allowance if you do not live in the Netherlands. This concerns an amount up to a maximum of € 2,750 which you can declare to our finance department.
