Program officer

Currently NRG PALLAS is building the PALLAS-reactor that will be used to produce medical isotopes as well as performing research and development to support the nuclear energy industry. The Own Scope Program is a program of more than ten projects, focussed on designing infrastructure for utilisation of the PALLAS-reactor, within the boundaries of the PALLAS design.
As Program officer you support the Program manager in effective and efficient management, organization and delivery of the Own Scope Program, with focus on quality, costs and scope.
The program is multidisciplinary and aimed at serving our customer, the PALLAS-reactor project, with NRG PALLAS’ technical knowledge. With your organisational skills and technical interest your contribution will make a difference in the output of the program. From the centre of the program, you support the program manager in:
- Progress reporting & dashboard updates;
- Maintaining program logs regarding risks, decisions, lessons learned and actions;
- Keep overview in planning and monitor dependencies between the individual projects;
- Agenda and minutes of the program meetings (steering boards, monthly reviews, progress meetings, quality assurance);
- Information management (user requirement database, interface databases, SharePoint);
- Writing quotations.
It is an unique opportunity to get trained on the job to the role of program and/or project manager by working is this role for a at least couple of years.
Profile
- You have bachelors’/ master degree preferably on a technical or business subject;
- Affinity with technical or R&D projects;
- You have good communication, technical reporting and presentation skills;
- You are a team player with an ability to work independently, pro-active, entrepreneurial and ready to accept challenges and responsibilities;
- Focused on quality and safety;
- A team player with good ownership;
- Inquisitive and results-oriented;
- Structured and organized;
- Ambitious;
- Nuclear experience is a nice to have, but not required.
Team
You will be working within our unit Commerce in Fuels & Materials Irradiations department.
