For our expanding consultancy activities in Petten, we are looking for a:

Consultant asset integrity (engineering mechanics)

Position

You will be responsible for:

  • Advising our internal and external clients on the safe operation of their nuclear or high pressure/temperature installations;
  • Taking care of customer contacts;
  • Reviewing technical mechanical and structural engineering documentation;
  • Providing calculations, reports, and oversight of structural and mechanical design to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements;

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Work in multidisciplinary teams to support the design and analysis of our nuclear facility in Petten;
  • To push the team’s knowledge and competence by taking part of applied research;
  • Develop and advance professionally.

Profile

Required: 

  • University level education, preferable nuclear engineering, mechanical, structural or aeronautical engineering;
  • A feeling for advising; good communication and social skills;
  •  A practical attitude and motivation to learn “on the job”.

Ideally:

  • Familiarization with the ASME B&PV Code;
  • Knowledge or experience with the principles for performing mechanical and structural analyses (FEA experience is a bonus);
  • Knowledge or experience with the continued safe operation (CSO) and long term operation (LTO) of nuclear facilities.

You will be working for our Asset Integrity team. We offer diverse and highly technical work in an informal culture.

We are a team of international professionals who use our mechanical and structural engineering expertise to support the safe implementation and continuous use of nuclear installations. We solve complex engineering problems starting from the question: Which regulation and code is applicable and does the construction fulfill those requirements?

Modern employment conditions package in line with the market

  • Depending on your level of experience you will start as a consultant level 1 or level 2 (level 1 range €3.250 – €5.100 – level 2 range €4.100 – €5.900 monthly gross salary);
  • 27 vacation days and 12 days of flex time (based on a fulltime contract;
  • 8.3% year-end bonus and 8% vacation allowance;
  • Pension with the ABP; NRG pays 74% of the premium;
  • Commuting expenses are reimbursed at € 0.23 per k/m

up to a maximum of 50 km one way;

  • A travel allowance and mobility budget of € 5,000 net (paid once, if you live 1.5 hours travel distance from our work location);
  • A moving allowance if you do not live in the Netherlands. This concerns an amount up to a maximum of € 2,750 which you can declare to our finance department.
